Report from the VICIF 2023 conference

The VICIF 2023 conference, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, marked a significant return to normalcy for VFAI after the Covid-19 pandemic’s disruptions. Conducted in-person, the conference brought together participants from Vietnam and across the globe to present and discuss innovative research within an intimate setting that facilitated valuable networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas. Notable highlights of the conference include the keynote address delivered by Professor Sudipto Dasgupta (CUHK) on the topic of “Balance Sheet Financial Flexibility”, the strong contingent of local scholars with very high-quality presentations, and the gracious and warm hospitality of colleagues at Foreign Trade University (FTU).

VFAI extends its gratitude to the co-organizers, including Foreign Trade University (FTU), University of Economics – The University of Danang (UE-UD), and University of Economics Hochiminh City (UEH), as well as all conference attendees, for their contributions to the success of VICIF 2023. Special thanks to the dedicated VFAI members who supported the conference this year despite post-Covid travel challenges.
